Indian Premier League 4

With the Chennai Super Kings lifting the trophy, the fourth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) came to an end with its usual fanfare and glamour. And even though people cribbed about an overdose of cricket with IPL just after the high-voltage World Cup, it sure had its moments. We bring you some reasons why you'll surely remember IPL 4...

We're like walking porn

Mumbai Indians cheerleader Gabriella Pasqualotto was fired from the cheerleading squad when she blogged about some cricketers' flirtatious behaviour at the IPL after-parties. The cheerleaders were treated as 'pieces of meat' and she felt like 'walking porn', wrote Gabriella. But she didn't fail to praise a few Indian players for their politeness.

Fan falls at Dada's feet

After the humiliating no-bid by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Sourav Ganguly's fans jumped with joy when it was announced that Dada would play for the Pune Warriors. And some fans just couldn't control their happiness, and took it to another level. During a match between Pune Warriors and Deccan Chargers in Hyderabad, an overwhelmed fan in a major security breach, came on to the pitch to touch his feet and just wouldn't let go.

Love on the stands

At this IPL fans didn't know where to look - at the field where all the gaming action was, or on the stands where all the 'real' action was taking place. Liz Hurley and Shane Warne were spotted locking lips after some of the Rajasthan Royals matches, and actress Deepika Padukone was seen kissing 'just friend' Siddharth Mallya in public after an Royal Challengers Bangalore match.

Cheerleaders in Indian attire

Pune Warriors wanted nrityanganas or 'cheer queens' instead of cheerleaders. So, designer Neeta Lulla was hired to design traditional costumes and Ganesh Hegde was asked to choreograph their dance sequences. This move was seen as a breather from the regular sight of cheerleaders jumping up and down in very short shorts and dresses.

Rayudu's six on the last ball

Ambati Rayudu led the Mumbai Indians to victory after hitting a six off the last ball. This was at a crucial stage when MI wanted four runs to win off one ball against KKR. And this was the only ball that Rayudu faced in the match, that too in the last over which was being bowled by Balaji.

Priyanka dances with SRK at KKR match

Priyanka Chopra was seen cheering for SRK's KKR, and seemed to be having a pretty good time. She clapped, laughed, jumped and had a lot of fun watching the match with her buddy. And of course, nobody in the stands complained about the hotness that she added to the game.
