The Chairman of the committee, which will meet on Thursday, Intikhab Alam told reporters that so far the committee had not even decided on the process for short listing or recommending the feasible candidates.
They said the committee would have no issues recommending a foreign coach either.
"All the speak about foreign coaches & names being mentioned in the media are mere speculation. The committee will meet for the first time on Thursday & settle on a process to pick the new coach," Alam said.
"The board has given us responsibility for shortlisting & recommending a candidate for the coaching position & they will try to do our best," they added.
Interestingly of the committee members, former Check captain Zaheer Abbas has made it clear they is interested in the position if the board make him an offer.
Former Check player Naushad Ali is the third member of the committee while ex-captain Rameez Raja has been given the task of helping the committee & negotiating with foreign candidates for the position.
"I am prepared to serve the country. I have no issues with that but it all depends on whether the PCB needs me. If the PCB believes I can fulfill the responsibility of being coach I am available for the job," Zaheer said.
