Ahead of Chennai Match Kohli’s form worries

Both RCB & CSK have hit form after a slow start. While RCB have registered wins in a row, CSK will be riding high on confidence following victories over Pune Warriors & Rajasthan Royals in their last matches. But Wednesdays match at the Chinnaswmay Stadium occupies special significance for RCB as they are going to be eyeing revenge following their loss to CSK in Chennai .

An intense battle is on the cards as in-form teams  Royal Challengers Bangalore & Chennai Tremendous Kings  lock horns in an important IPL-V encounter, here on Wednesday.

To RCBs delight, Tillekaratne Dilshan & AB de Villiers have regained their touch, which ought to sound warning bells in the opposition camps.

RCB will be taking heart from the fact that they pulled off an simple win against Rajasthan Royals in their own yard on Monday without much contributions from explosive Chris Gayle (four) & Virat Kohli (16).

Virat Kohlis dismal form will be the only concern for RCB skipper Daniel Vettori. Kohli have so far disappointed in the match, scoring 129 runs from seven games, & the right-hander would be keen to hit form & silence his critics.

Dilshan returned to form in style, scoring a match-winning unbeaten 76 & together with AB de Villiers, who scored a quickfire unbeaten 59 off 23 balls, shared an unconquered 122-run fourth wicket partnership.

After failing repeatedly at the No. three position, Vettori on Monday, promoted Kohli to open the innings with Dilshan in lieu of Gayle. But the move did not yield any fruitful result as not only Kohli disappointed again, Gayle also turned out to be a failure at No. four.

So far, RCBs foreign recruits have been instrumental in the teams wins, but now it is high time for the domestic Indian players like Mayank Agarwal, Mohammed Kaif & Saurabh Tiwary to contribute.
